IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee – Conference Scholarships
“IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee (IEEE HAC) has kindly agreed to provide a limited number of partial scholarships to support participation at the 2018 IEEE R10 Humanitarian Technology Conference. The objective is to facilitate more extensive networking, sharing of experiences and partnership building, and reduce potential economic barriers to participation.
Those eligible to apply for support include active IEEE SIGHT Leadership and other IEEE volunteers, local practitioners, and local community and local partner representatives actively contributing in the sustainable development and humanitarian space, with tangible results, experiences and lessons learnt to share.
Priority will be given to applicants with an accepted paper, or who are contributing to a panel or facilitating a workshop. Where there are more requests for support than available funds, further priority will be given to those who have not previously received a travel grant and those with the necessary track record to act as local multipliers when they return home”.
The organizing committee too is planning to offer a limited number of scholarships in the form of reduced registration fee for deserving participants who fall under the following category primarily.
